well versed in the horror 6 00:00:27,400 --> 00:00:28,400 genre. 7 00:00:28,400 --> 00:00:31,000 Especially those 80s classics. 8 00:00:31,000 --> 00:00:36,720 A quick fun fact about me, I have a very extensive crystal collection. 9 00:00:36,720 --> 00:00:37,720 Hello, I'm Amy. 10 00:00:37,720 --> 00:00:42,280 I'm from Kentucky and my area of expertise for this podcast is paranormal. 11 00:00:42,280 --> 00:00:44,000 A few fun facts about me. 12 00:00:44,000 --> 00:00:45,000 I'm an empath. 13 00:00:45,000 --> 00:00:49,120 I collect old dolls and you know, I've never flown on an airplane. 14 00:00:49,120 --> 00:00:50,480 Can you believe that? 15 00:00:50,480 --> 00:00:54,920 Now Dawn and I are also obsessed with true crime, so here we are. 16 00:00:54,920 --> 00:00:58,120 Talk Gruesome to Me. 17 00:00:58,120 --> 00:00:59,120 Welcome in. 18 00:00:59,120 --> 00:01:01,960 This one's going to be a little bit different of a minisode. 19 00:01:01,960 --> 00:01:06,480 We are actually just going to talk about all of the things that we've been up to here 20 00:01:06,480 --> 00:01:07,640 lately. 21 00:01:07,640 --> 00:01:12,520 We've been pretty busy and we were just sitting and trying to name off, making sure that 22 00:01:12,520 --> 00:01:15,400 we had everything that we wanted to mention today. 23 00:01:15,400 --> 00:01:20,680 So just hang around and see some of the exciting stuff that we've been doing. 24 00:01:20,680 --> 00:01:24,040 And listen, we go all over the place. 25 00:01:24,040 --> 00:01:29,560 So let's try and keep up with our brains, which is not an easy ask. 26 00:01:29,560 --> 00:01:31,360 And you've been everywhere. 27 00:01:31,360 --> 00:01:33,360 We've been everywhere, yeah. 28 00:01:33,360 --> 00:01:34,360 I know. 29 00:01:34,360 --> 00:01:36,360 Well let's start. 30 00:01:36,360 --> 00:01:39,760 Amy and I both November and December. 31 00:01:39,760 --> 00:01:44,920 We were just kind of focused on using up our insurance as much as we could. 32 00:01:44,920 --> 00:01:46,760 I had a couple CTs. 33 00:01:46,760 --> 00:01:48,760 I had a couple MRIs. 34 00:01:48,760 --> 00:01:51,720 I know Amy had a bunch of things. 35 00:01:51,720 --> 00:01:55,080 That's what the end of the year is for when you've already hit your deductible. 36 00:01:55,080 --> 00:02:00,920 I hit my out of pocket on March 20th last year, which is fairly common. 37 00:02:00,920 --> 00:02:06,240 I think by April every year I have hit my out of pocket. 38 00:02:06,240 --> 00:02:08,960 I held out to July. 39 00:02:08,960 --> 00:02:11,400 I held out to July this year. 40 00:02:11,400 --> 00:02:13,200 Oh my gosh, we're a mess. 41 00:02:13,200 --> 00:02:14,200 It's okay. 42 00:02:14,200 --> 00:02:15,720 It is okay. 43 00:02:15,720 --> 00:02:20,560 And so if you're a mess, you're not alone. 44 00:02:20,560 --> 00:02:21,560 Here we are. 45 00:02:21,560 --> 00:02:22,560 Poor act. 46 00:02:22,560 --> 00:02:32,880 And then for Thanksgiving, on Thanksgiving Day, Amy and Shannon and Jake, their dog in case you 47 00:02:32,880 --> 00:02:41,000 don't know, they came to visit and my sister made a thousand things to eat, which it was so 48 00:02:41,000 --> 00:02:42,000 good. 49 00:02:42,000 --> 00:02:46,400 Yes, she's such a good cook and she always makes so much food. 50 00:02:46,400 --> 00:02:51,120 Jake got to meet his cousins, Radish and Pickles. 51 00:02:51,120 --> 00:02:52,480 So cute. 52 00:02:52,480 --> 00:02:56,480 He's still kind of warming up to Turnip, but that's okay. 53 00:02:56,480 --> 00:02:57,480 Turnip. 54 00:02:57,480 --> 00:03:00,280 So Turnip is 110 pound. 55 00:03:00,280 --> 00:03:01,880 Great Dane pitbull. 56 00:03:01,880 --> 00:03:04,960 She just hasn't been around a lot of dogs. 57 00:03:04,960 --> 00:03:10,000 So, or people really, so she needs a warm up time. 58 00:03:10,000 --> 00:03:12,240 She's okay. 59 00:03:12,240 --> 00:03:17,640 So Jake got to play with his other cousins, Pickles and Radish. 60 00:03:17,640 --> 00:03:23,640 Which is a four pound dog and Pickles is a golden doodle, I think. 61 00:03:23,640 --> 00:03:24,640 Looks like it, yeah. 62 00:03:24,640 --> 00:03:26,640 I think so. 63 00:03:26,640 --> 00:03:27,640 Had a blast, Jake. 64 00:03:27,640 --> 00:03:29,440 Had a good time. 65 00:03:29,440 --> 00:03:39,760 We, we just chilled on Thanksgiving and then Friday, Amy and Shannon and I investigated at 66 00:03:39,760 --> 00:03:42,280 the Michigan Museum of Horror. 67 00:03:42,280 --> 00:03:44,480 And that's always a good time. 68 00:03:44,480 --> 00:03:45,760 It is always a good time. 69 00:03:45,760 --> 00:03:51,440 You know what though, I felt like for that place and we've investigated there a few times. 70 00:03:51,440 --> 00:03:53,640 I've investigated there. 71 00:03:53,640 --> 00:03:55,600 I don't know, five times maybe. 72 00:03:55,600 --> 00:04:00,760 Anyways, I feel like it was a pretty quiet night for that place. 73 00:04:00,760 --> 00:04:06,200 Yeah, we didn't get a whole lot that night, but it was still, it was a really good night. 74 00:04:06,200 --> 00:04:07,200 Always. 75 00:04:07,200 --> 00:04:09,640 Look at what you're surrounded by, so yeah. 76 00:04:09,640 --> 00:04:11,560 Exactly. 77 00:04:11,560 --> 00:04:13,960 Just the upstairs alone. 78 00:04:13,960 --> 00:04:20,840 I wonder how many, I'm not sure now, but he has at least a hundred Ouija boards. 79 00:04:20,840 --> 00:04:28,800 He did say that it was Michigan's biggest Ouija board collection, so why do they? 80 00:04:28,800 --> 00:04:31,920 And that chair, man, that chair up there. 81 00:04:31,920 --> 00:04:34,320 There's a chair. 82 00:04:34,320 --> 00:04:41,480 You can't figure it out if it's got person on it, if it's just got sweat and grease from 83 00:04:41,480 --> 00:04:44,440 someone who loved it so much. 84 00:04:44,440 --> 00:04:50,080 Or if I don't know, you can't figure it out when you look at it, can you? 85 00:04:50,080 --> 00:04:57,040 No, I don't know if the person decomposed and maybe they were sitting on that chair for 86 00:04:57,040 --> 00:04:58,040 a while. 87 00:04:58,040 --> 00:04:59,440 I'm not sure. 88 00:04:59,440 --> 00:05:01,480 That chair's something else. 89 00:05:01,480 --> 00:05:04,520 So he has a chair on the second floor. 90 00:05:04,520 --> 00:05:09,560 I believe the person passed from maybe a heart attack or something like that, but it was 91 00:05:09,560 --> 00:05:13,040 a natural cause in the early person. 92 00:05:13,040 --> 00:05:20,360 He has the chair and it just has something on it like a lot. 93 00:05:20,360 --> 00:05:25,400 It's not just a little drop, like it's covered in some dark something. 94 00:05:25,400 --> 00:05:27,120 I mean, it very well. 95 00:05:27,120 --> 00:05:33,600 You know how like if somebody's an only person, sometimes they'll leave, but maybe I don't 96 00:05:33,600 --> 00:05:36,160 know, but I'm hoping that's what it is. 97 00:05:36,160 --> 00:05:38,840 Okay, don't know, but Shannon sat in it. 98 00:05:38,840 --> 00:05:39,840 He did. 99 00:05:39,840 --> 00:05:41,600 They're adding it and do it. 100 00:05:41,600 --> 00:05:44,000 I was about to if he wasn't going to do it. 101 00:05:44,000 --> 00:05:48,840 As soon as I said, I'll do it, then he was like, okay, fine, I'll just do it. 102 00:05:48,840 --> 00:05:53,720 Well, you also light on the gurney at the Bell Mansion. 103 00:05:53,720 --> 00:05:56,680 Every time we went to the bed, there was always yours. 104 00:05:56,680 --> 00:05:58,440 I was like, oh, me. 105 00:05:58,440 --> 00:05:59,440 Let's go. 106 00:05:59,440 --> 00:06:00,440 Yep. 107 00:06:00,440 --> 00:06:08,440 But yeah, that place, it has so much different stuff in it that he's collected that 108 00:06:08,440 --> 00:06:15,880 it's like a whirlwind of what could be pretty much and what could happen for the night. 109 00:06:15,880 --> 00:06:23,120 So on the first floor, there are things from a whole bunch of different serial killers. 110 00:06:23,120 --> 00:06:32,320 There's Richard Ramirez, John Wayne Casey, Charles Manson, Jeffrey Dahmer. 111 00:06:32,320 --> 00:06:37,000 Gosh, there's some more too, but I can't take that room is that room will make you humble 112 00:06:37,000 --> 00:06:38,000 for a minute. 113 00:06:38,000 --> 00:06:44,360 Because he has one room where it's just all crime scene photos and it's wild. 114 00:06:44,360 --> 00:06:52,920 Yeah, and he has all of those skeletons and skulls and human bones and things like that. 115 00:06:52,920 --> 00:06:58,920 So definitely the possibility for a lot going on there. 116 00:06:58,920 --> 00:07:02,320 And I think I was the first person to investigate there. 117 00:07:02,320 --> 00:07:05,680 I went there just to visit the museum. 118 00:07:05,680 --> 00:07:09,800 I just said to him, I'm like, hey, have you ever investigated here? 119 00:07:09,800 --> 00:07:11,040 Let's do it tonight. 120 00:07:11,040 --> 00:07:12,600 And he said, yeah. 121 00:07:12,600 --> 00:07:15,440 And so I came back with all my stuff. 122 00:07:15,440 --> 00:07:19,000 I taught him, you know how I do it. 123 00:07:19,000 --> 00:07:25,560 Slather that oil on and say all the things and do your openings and your closings and your 124 00:07:25,560 --> 00:07:26,560 pretend. 125 00:07:26,560 --> 00:07:33,080 I told him, like every time I come here to work, I'd be putting some cell in my pocket before 126 00:07:33,080 --> 00:07:35,000 I walked in that door. 127 00:07:35,000 --> 00:07:41,280 So I don't know if he has practiced any of what I told him, but I'm going to say no. 128 00:07:41,280 --> 00:07:42,280 Investigated. 129 00:07:42,280 --> 00:07:44,520 Yeah, probably not. 130 00:07:44,520 --> 00:07:50,960 Hey, but we got some decent activity for a first investigation in the front room. 131 00:07:50,960 --> 00:07:55,320 Kind of where the skeleton is now using the flashlight. 132 00:07:55,320 --> 00:07:57,000 Gosh, what in the grid light? 133 00:07:57,000 --> 00:07:58,080 I can't remember. 134 00:07:58,080 --> 00:08:00,280 But I was kind of impressed. 135 00:08:00,280 --> 00:08:04,920 The second floor we didn't really get a ton, but the first floor we did. 136 00:08:04,920 --> 00:08:10,200 We'll say from the first time I visited to the second time I've been there twice, he has 137 00:08:10,200 --> 00:08:12,520 really collected a lot of stuff. 138 00:08:12,520 --> 00:08:13,520 It's different. 139 00:08:13,520 --> 00:08:19,600 Oh, tied to the place we went the following day in Toledo, which is so weird. 140 00:08:19,600 --> 00:08:20,920 That was fun too. 141 00:08:20,920 --> 00:08:22,200 Who knew? 142 00:08:22,200 --> 00:08:27,960 We had investigated all of that stuff before at the museum, but we didn't even know it. 143 00:08:27,960 --> 00:08:29,760 Yeah, isn’t that something. 144 00:08:29,760 --> 00:08:32,160 Yes, crazy. 145 00:08:32,160 --> 00:08:37,800 So then do you want to tell him what we did on Saturday, which was, oh, there was a snowstorm. 146 00:08:37,800 --> 00:08:42,080 So they were supposed to stay until Sunday and drive home Sunday. 147 00:08:42,080 --> 00:08:44,240 And then there was this stupid snowstorm. 148 00:08:44,240 --> 00:08:46,560 And so they kind of wanted to try and get ahead of it. 149 00:08:46,560 --> 00:08:48,080 And so they left on Saturday. 150 00:08:48,080 --> 00:08:49,080 Boo. 151 00:08:49,080 --> 00:08:54,920 Yeah, that was not in the plans, but that morning Shannon stayed back at the motel or hotel, 152 00:08:54,920 --> 00:08:57,200 the holiday in, whatever you want to call it. 153 00:08:57,200 --> 00:08:58,920 What is that place? 154 00:08:58,920 --> 00:09:03,160 A stay in or extended stay. 155 00:09:03,160 --> 00:09:04,160 Yeah, I think so, Extended Stay. 156 00:09:04,160 --> 00:09:05,480 Well, Shannon stayed there. 157 00:09:05,480 --> 00:09:08,240 He got us packed up, got everything in the car. 158 00:09:08,240 --> 00:09:09,560 And I took off with Dawn. 159 00:09:09,560 --> 00:09:11,640 Yeah, we went to Mortuary Manor. 160 00:09:11,640 --> 00:09:15,840 And it is, it's everything you could ever think it could be. 161 00:09:15,840 --> 00:09:22,240 If you've wanted to know what goes on behind the scenes in a mortuary, they still have equipment. 162 00:09:22,240 --> 00:09:25,840 The last funeral was just in, wasn't it July? 163 00:09:25,840 --> 00:09:26,840 Yes. 164 00:09:26,840 --> 00:09:30,080 And then they bought it, I believe, in August. 165 00:09:30,080 --> 00:09:35,680 So yeah, I mean, they just quickly took over and most everything, I guess, was left in there. 166 00:09:35,680 --> 00:09:39,520 I don't see much that the owner really would have took, do you? 167 00:09:39,520 --> 00:09:41,320 Except for his personal stuff. 168 00:09:41,320 --> 00:09:42,320 Nope. 169 00:09:42,320 --> 00:09:45,880 Everything was still there, set up just like they were going to have a funeral the day we 170 00:09:45,880 --> 00:09:46,880 were there. 171 00:09:46,880 --> 00:09:47,880 Yes. 172 00:09:47,880 --> 00:09:52,480 And it is like, I don't know if you're kind of like us and that kind of stuff does interest 173 00:09:52,480 --> 00:09:53,480 you. 174 00:09:53,480 --> 00:09:55,480 It's a place that you definitely want to go as well. 175 00:09:55,480 --> 00:09:59,480 And I think the tour is what $10 a piece? 176 00:09:59,480 --> 00:10:00,480 Yep. 177 00:10:00,480 --> 00:10:03,280 And he'll walk you through the whole thing, Cory will. 178 00:10:03,280 --> 00:10:06,600 And it's, yeah, you will definitely love that tour. 179 00:10:06,600 --> 00:10:10,400 We definitely plan to go back and do an investigation there. 180 00:10:10,400 --> 00:10:16,120 It is a place, I mean, what, you know how we are, whether we catch anything or not, that 181 00:10:16,120 --> 00:10:17,120 doesn't matter. 182 00:10:17,120 --> 00:10:23,160 But it's definitely a place where I feel like we possibly might. 183 00:10:23,160 --> 00:10:25,920 I feel like there was a lot of residual. 184 00:10:25,920 --> 00:10:32,680 There has been suicides, there has been children pass away a couple other individuals. 185 00:10:32,680 --> 00:10:36,560 I think it was what seven total that had passed away in the building or was it nine, seven 186 00:10:36,560 --> 00:10:37,560 or nine? 187 00:10:37,560 --> 00:10:38,560 Seven. 188 00:10:38,560 --> 00:10:39,560 Seven. 189 00:10:39,560 --> 00:10:43,880 Okay, it was seven individuals that have passed away in that building because it's not just 190 00:10:43,880 --> 00:10:45,960 a mortuary, there's apartment buildings above. 191 00:10:45,960 --> 00:10:48,600 So somebody has always lived there. 192 00:10:48,600 --> 00:10:51,640 It's just, it's just wow. 193 00:10:51,640 --> 00:10:56,480 I mean, I wish that I could stop right now and insert the picture that I took of Dawn 194 00:10:56,480 --> 00:11:01,160 when she was first standing down in the area where you would do the embalming. 195 00:11:01,160 --> 00:11:04,800 Her face was like, she was in heaven. 196 00:11:04,800 --> 00:11:05,800 Yes. 197 00:11:05,800 --> 00:11:10,800 So into it, that place was amazing. 198 00:11:10,800 --> 00:11:18,080 And I don't know what it was about it that made me so excited to come back and investigate. 199 00:11:18,080 --> 00:11:22,000 I mean, obviously you're always excited to go investigate a place. 200 00:11:22,000 --> 00:11:28,200 I don't know if it was because all of this stuff was still there or if it was because it 201 00:11:28,200 --> 00:11:32,920 had closed so recently, I really don't know, but something about it, I got to get in there 202 00:11:32,920 --> 00:11:34,520 and investigate it. 203 00:11:34,520 --> 00:11:36,520 Yeah, most definitely. 204 00:11:36,520 --> 00:11:38,520 It is a huge building too. 205 00:11:38,520 --> 00:11:43,240 I can't remember how many square feet, but it was did used to have a tunnel that 206 00:11:43,240 --> 00:11:47,880 has been recently closed off that would go all the way across underneath the street to 207 00:11:47,880 --> 00:11:51,360 this gorgeous church. 208 00:11:51,360 --> 00:11:55,600 And they were, were they, was it the Polish community? 209 00:11:55,600 --> 00:11:56,600 Correct. 210 00:11:56,600 --> 00:11:58,240 Yeah, the Polish community. 211 00:11:58,240 --> 00:12:01,640 It's been a minute, so I'm still trying to test my memory. 212 00:12:01,640 --> 00:12:02,640 But most definitely. 213 00:12:02,640 --> 00:12:04,920 And it is 60,000 square feet. 214 00:12:04,920 --> 00:12:05,920 60,000 square feet. 215 00:12:05,920 --> 00:12:11,920 So yes, if you like that kind of stuff, especially me, where when I was a little girl and still 216 00:12:11,920 --> 00:12:16,440 would like to chase the dream of becoming a mortician, you're definitely going to love 217 00:12:16,440 --> 00:12:17,440 a place like that. 218 00:12:17,440 --> 00:12:23,320 And there's a lot of education in it as well because I'm sure he can, if you did have questions, 219 00:12:23,320 --> 00:12:26,880 he can answer a lot of it for you because he's collected this stuff. 220 00:12:26,880 --> 00:12:32,360 He's kind of what did he call himself a mortuary picker? 221 00:12:32,360 --> 00:12:33,760 funeral home picker. 222 00:12:33,760 --> 00:12:40,240 Yeah, one of the things I learned, I guess I just had never thought about it. 223 00:12:40,240 --> 00:12:45,680 They have a rack of clothes that they would use on the bodies. 224 00:12:45,680 --> 00:12:50,360 I don't know, it's just something I guess I just never crossed my mind, but all of the clothes 225 00:12:50,360 --> 00:12:52,600 are cut up the back. 226 00:12:52,600 --> 00:12:55,440 That way they can just put it on the people. 227 00:12:55,440 --> 00:13:02,760 Which I mean, this is off topic, but when I was a CNA, I did have to get, I did two individuals 228 00:13:02,760 --> 00:13:05,560 got them prepared for their families. 229 00:13:05,560 --> 00:13:10,640 We would, if they didn't want a certain outfit on them, because it was hard to get that outfit 230 00:13:10,640 --> 00:13:12,040 back on, of course. 231 00:13:12,040 --> 00:13:16,720 But if they didn't, they would normally just put a little hospital gown because it's so 232 00:13:16,720 --> 00:13:19,280 much easier to get it on. 233 00:13:19,280 --> 00:13:21,800 So I do totally understand that. 234 00:13:21,800 --> 00:13:23,040 I really do. 235 00:13:23,040 --> 00:13:24,040 I don't know. 236 00:13:24,040 --> 00:13:31,080 Maybe they were there for maybe an individual who passed away and didn't have family to get 237 00:13:31,080 --> 00:13:33,480 them something to look nice in. 238 00:13:33,480 --> 00:13:35,080 I don't know. 239 00:13:35,080 --> 00:13:38,040 Maybe that, yeah, that too. 240 00:13:38,040 --> 00:13:41,720 It was just something and I was like, oh, that means one of them. 241 00:13:41,720 --> 00:13:42,720 Yeah. 242 00:13:42,720 --> 00:13:45,120 I had no idea. 243 00:13:45,120 --> 00:13:50,800 And then I did like where he let us see how it takes the body all the way up to the top so 244 00:13:50,800 --> 00:13:55,720 you can actually get it ready for all the way from the start when you prepare the body, 245 00:13:55,720 --> 00:13:57,800 all the way to get it dressed and then to the viewing. 246 00:13:57,800 --> 00:13:59,640 I like that. 247 00:13:59,640 --> 00:14:04,040 And Cory and his partner, they live upstairs. 248 00:14:04,040 --> 00:14:05,440 Which is amazing. 249 00:14:05,440 --> 00:14:06,440 Yes. 250 00:14:06,440 --> 00:14:14,960 And how could you imagine for one walking down and going to your job, but to it being in a 251 00:14:14,960 --> 00:14:15,960 mortuary? 252 00:14:15,960 --> 00:14:17,960 Ah, a dream. 253 00:14:17,960 --> 00:14:18,960 Most definitely. 254 00:14:18,960 --> 00:14:19,960 Yeah. 255 00:14:19,960 --> 00:14:23,320 Sean Austin, we try to get him on here once. 256 00:14:23,320 --> 00:14:26,440 One day we're going to be able to align with him and have him on. 257 00:14:26,440 --> 00:14:28,000 He’s busy, busy guy. 258 00:14:28,000 --> 00:14:29,520 Yeah, he is. 259 00:14:29,520 --> 00:14:31,120 He's traveling. 260 00:14:31,120 --> 00:14:34,960 I don't know how often he's home, but it's not a lot. 261 00:14:34,960 --> 00:14:35,960 One day. 262 00:14:35,960 --> 00:14:40,560 He investigated there and he did a YouTube release. 263 00:14:40,560 --> 00:14:44,080 Now I will say this about him and he will admit it. 264 00:14:44,080 --> 00:14:48,960 So I'm not like saying anything that he wouldn't agree with. 265 00:14:48,960 --> 00:14:54,840 I feel like things not only follow him around, but I feel like they're not good. 266 00:14:54,840 --> 00:15:02,640 And so I also feel like when he investigates places, he experiences if there's anything 267 00:15:02,640 --> 00:15:11,960 there that's negative and it's amplified because he is a medium to and I think these things 268 00:15:11,960 --> 00:15:14,960 find him and they stay with him. 269 00:15:14,960 --> 00:15:21,560 And so if anyone wants to see an investigation there, he does have it up on his YouTube. 270 00:15:21,560 --> 00:15:29,360 But I feel like some of the stuff that he regularly experiences in his investigations is more 271 00:15:29,360 --> 00:15:30,600 about him. 272 00:15:30,600 --> 00:15:37,080 I don't think if we investigated there, we would have the same activity, like the same type 273 00:15:37,080 --> 00:15:39,000 of activity that he did. 274 00:15:39,000 --> 00:15:45,600 Well that makes sense because sometimes one person may walk on the little lighter path, 275 00:15:45,600 --> 00:15:48,760 but he might just walk on a little bit darker shaded one. 276 00:15:48,760 --> 00:15:51,280 So we just may not cross paths. 277 00:15:51,280 --> 00:15:53,200 So yeah, that does make a lot of sense. 278 00:15:53,200 --> 00:15:57,840 You have light workers and some that work with a little bit more darkness than others. 279 00:15:57,840 --> 00:15:58,840 So yeah. 280 00:15:58,840 --> 00:16:01,840 I don't know that he wants it. 281 00:16:01,840 --> 00:16:04,840 Some people you just can't help it. 282 00:16:04,840 --> 00:16:07,840 Yeah, and I do think it's related to his ability. 283 00:16:07,840 --> 00:16:08,840 Right. 284 00:16:08,840 --> 00:16:09,840 Yeah. 285 00:16:09,840 --> 00:16:11,840 I'm not saying that he's like come here all darkness. 286 00:16:11,840 --> 00:16:12,840 No. 287 00:16:12,840 --> 00:16:16,480 No, I'm just saying some people just cannot help and it does it mate. 288 00:16:16,480 --> 00:16:24,400 Let me also say that it does not make an individual a bad person if they are more so able 289 00:16:24,400 --> 00:16:28,480 to work with the darker side than somebody that works with the lighter side. 290 00:16:28,480 --> 00:16:29,480 So don't look at that. 291 00:16:29,480 --> 00:16:30,480 There's a yes. 292 00:16:30,480 --> 00:16:31,480 There is definitely yes. 293 00:16:31,480 --> 00:16:34,960 Josh is an amazing, amazing example of that. 294 00:16:34,960 --> 00:16:40,320 There are some amazing people who do deal with the darker side of things. 295 00:16:40,320 --> 00:16:44,480 That's just not the area that I choose to put myself into. 296 00:16:44,480 --> 00:16:45,480 Yeah. 297 00:16:45,480 --> 00:16:46,760 We have a friend Josh. 298 00:16:46,760 --> 00:16:49,120 He goes under PSI. 299 00:16:49,120 --> 00:16:57,040 He does more of the dark side, but is like the nicest, kindest person ever. 300 00:16:57,040 --> 00:16:58,040 Oh my gosh. 301 00:16:58,040 --> 00:16:59,040 Yes. 302 00:16:59,040 --> 00:17:00,040 Got to love Josh for sure. 303 00:17:00,040 --> 00:17:01,040 Yeah. 304 00:17:01,040 --> 00:17:02,040 No shade. 305 00:17:02,040 --> 00:17:06,640 And again, Sean would say, "Oh yeah, bad things follow me around." 306 00:17:06,640 --> 00:17:08,360 Like he's, he admits it. 307 00:17:08,360 --> 00:17:09,600 We've, right. 308 00:17:09,600 --> 00:17:12,320 He's talked about it in his lives before. 309 00:17:12,320 --> 00:17:16,240 But the mortuary, if you're in the area, ten bucks. 310 00:17:16,240 --> 00:17:17,440 It's just cool. 311 00:17:17,440 --> 00:17:24,520 I mean, I don't imagine just anyone would want to go somewhere like that just to look around. 312 00:17:24,520 --> 00:17:31,120 But it's just cool to see, you can go see, like Amy said, there are a couple of embalming 313 00:17:31,120 --> 00:17:35,260 rooms and they have a ton of equipment, old equipment. 314 00:17:35,260 --> 00:17:36,760 They have caskets. 315 00:17:36,760 --> 00:17:37,760 Yes. 316 00:17:37,760 --> 00:17:41,320 1800s caskets, like all different kinds of stuff. 317 00:17:41,320 --> 00:17:47,600 The room is still set up where people would go in and purchase caskets. 318 00:17:47,600 --> 00:17:49,640 They have those samples there and everything. 319 00:17:49,640 --> 00:17:53,520 It's literally like you could go there and have a funeral tomorrow. 320 00:17:53,520 --> 00:17:56,920 See, I kind of do almost disagree with you there. 321 00:17:56,920 --> 00:18:02,440 I don't think that that's a location to where not, I think everybody would like to. 322 00:18:02,440 --> 00:18:08,520 Only simply because we all have this little bit of a fascination with death and that's 323 00:18:08,520 --> 00:18:11,440 a kind of place that you can visit that's not so morbid. 324 00:18:11,440 --> 00:18:14,120 You can just, you can take it as an educational. 325 00:18:14,120 --> 00:18:18,480 So I think in that way it would open it up to other people than just people that are 326 00:18:18,480 --> 00:18:21,520 little more morbid than we are. 327 00:18:21,520 --> 00:18:28,080 You know, because you can, like you can go and you can spend your life going to funerals. 328 00:18:28,080 --> 00:18:29,080 You can set there. 329 00:18:29,080 --> 00:18:33,360 You can watch the job that they've done on the individual and you know, make your mind 330 00:18:33,360 --> 00:18:38,200 up on what you think, but not everybody can walk down and see what it actually looks like 331 00:18:38,200 --> 00:18:40,560 in these areas where they prepare them. 332 00:18:40,560 --> 00:18:46,600 I think that's just, I think that's a totally different experience than maybe going to 333 00:18:46,600 --> 00:18:50,240 the Michigan Museum of Horror. 334 00:18:50,240 --> 00:18:51,800 Those are very different. 335 00:18:51,800 --> 00:18:55,560 I think they're around the same price to get in, very different. 336 00:18:55,560 --> 00:19:00,920 Yeah, I mean, in shoot, if you're looking for a good weekend thing to do, go up to Monroe 337 00:19:00,920 --> 00:19:06,920 and Toledo and hit on both of 20 bucks and you've definitely got yourself two places 338 00:19:06,920 --> 00:19:10,200 that you can check out and an awesome area. 339 00:19:10,200 --> 00:19:11,680 So yeah. 340 00:19:11,680 --> 00:19:17,880 That's up by me where I'm from in Toledo and then Amy's been going to a couple different 341 00:19:17,880 --> 00:19:21,480 places, The Knight House and Maggie Mansion. 342 00:19:21,480 --> 00:19:24,200 Those are in the Kentucky Tennessee area. 343 00:19:24,200 --> 00:19:25,200 So I don't know. 344 00:19:25,200 --> 00:19:29,000 Do you want to like tell them a little bit about what you've been doing at those two places 345 00:19:29,000 --> 00:19:37,440 because they're both, oh my God, dream if I could buy either or both tomorrow by California. 346 00:19:37,440 --> 00:19:40,240 The night house is the closest one to me. 347 00:19:40,240 --> 00:19:41,760 It's about 45 minutes. 348 00:19:41,760 --> 00:19:43,920 It's in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. 349 00:19:43,920 --> 00:19:48,400 It is a adorable little homey home. 350 00:19:48,400 --> 00:19:51,240 It was built in the early 1800s. 351 00:19:51,240 --> 00:19:54,200 It is owned by Eric and Roger Sims. 352 00:19:54,200 --> 00:19:58,600 They are the caretakers owners and they know all the history. 353 00:19:58,600 --> 00:19:59,960 They do tours there. 354 00:19:59,960 --> 00:20:02,000 Their tours are not expensive at all. 355 00:20:02,000 --> 00:20:05,000 I'm not going to, are they $10? 356 00:20:05,000 --> 00:20:07,800 I'm not sure, but I think they're $10 too. 357 00:20:07,800 --> 00:20:10,480 And Eric is so good at giving the history. 358 00:20:10,480 --> 00:20:12,160 He walks you through the whole house. 359 00:20:12,160 --> 00:20:14,440 You have the Knight family that lived there. 360 00:20:14,440 --> 00:20:16,080 You have the Rogers. 361 00:20:16,080 --> 00:20:20,320 The home has been lived in by those two families for 80 years. 362 00:20:20,320 --> 00:20:26,200 So I think in total it's only had seven, seven owners. 363 00:20:26,200 --> 00:20:29,000 And that's the 1800s, that's crazy. 364 00:20:29,000 --> 00:20:33,640 That tells you a lot about a house and one of the things that I like about The Knight House 365 00:20:33,640 --> 00:20:39,080 and the more that I'm getting to know Eric and becoming good friends with him, I love 366 00:20:39,080 --> 00:20:41,000 how he always starts his thing with... 367 00:20:41,000 --> 00:20:47,920 You don't have to have tragedy and all kinds of other bad things happen to have paranormal 368 00:20:47,920 --> 00:20:49,320 or haunting. 369 00:20:49,320 --> 00:20:55,800 That place is filled with love and it seems like the more that people go, that they work, 370 00:20:55,800 --> 00:21:00,920 that the people that come in, the investigators investigate, it seems like more spirits are 371 00:21:00,920 --> 00:21:05,600 coming out and their personalities are becoming stronger. 372 00:21:05,600 --> 00:21:10,240 I just got off the phone yesterday with Eric and you're going to love this one, Dawn. 373 00:21:10,240 --> 00:21:14,080 A little, a little old lady that used to live there many years ago. 374 00:21:14,080 --> 00:21:18,400 Sarah, she actually come out through spirit box. 375 00:21:18,400 --> 00:21:23,320 That is like they was actually able to get first and last name and say that yes that woman 376 00:21:23,320 --> 00:21:24,320 live there. 377 00:21:24,320 --> 00:21:25,560 Oh, that's so cute. 378 00:21:25,560 --> 00:21:30,480 Yes, so I mean like these, it's just a place like that where I feel like the longer that 379 00:21:30,480 --> 00:21:34,600 they keep working, they're going to learn more things about the property, about the families. 380 00:21:34,600 --> 00:21:40,960 I know that we do have a $10 ghost hunt coming, I'll be there January the 17th and before 381 00:21:40,960 --> 00:21:45,600 I got off the phone with Eric yesterday, I told him I said can we please go and visit the 382 00:21:45,600 --> 00:21:48,840 Knights and the Rogers before we go to the event. 383 00:21:48,840 --> 00:21:53,200 Because now since our last event, he is located where everybody is resting. 384 00:21:53,200 --> 00:21:55,560 So I would definitely like to go there. 385 00:21:55,560 --> 00:22:00,160 We're going to probably try to do some EVP sessions and just see if we connect with them 386 00:22:00,160 --> 00:22:02,800 before we go to the house and do the event. 387 00:22:02,800 --> 00:22:04,600 So I'm pretty excited about that. 388 00:22:04,600 --> 00:22:08,600 Also, The Knight House has all kinds of events coming up. 389 00:22:08,600 --> 00:22:11,640 They have stuff for Valentine's Day. 390 00:22:11,640 --> 00:22:14,440 There's things coming up in March. 391 00:22:14,440 --> 00:22:19,960 Definitely go follow their page, especially if you're close to the area because his events 392 00:22:19,960 --> 00:22:24,040 and if you do like to investigate, it's not that expensive. 393 00:22:24,040 --> 00:22:25,560 It's very affordable. 394 00:22:25,560 --> 00:22:28,120 The home is big enough to work in Dawn's scene. 395 00:22:28,120 --> 00:22:30,600 It's the cutest little homey place. 396 00:22:30,600 --> 00:22:33,120 I know I just have to meet Eric and Roger one day. 397 00:22:33,120 --> 00:22:34,280 Yes, you're going to. 398 00:22:34,280 --> 00:22:36,080 You're definitely going to. 399 00:22:36,080 --> 00:22:40,680 I don't know how we actually will Eric and Roger there from Tennessee too. 400 00:22:40,680 --> 00:22:45,480 But we've become pretty lucky to meet some pretty amazing friends in Tennessee. 401 00:22:45,480 --> 00:22:48,760 We also have been going to Maggie Mansion. 402 00:22:48,760 --> 00:22:53,920 It is owned by Denise Denning and her daughter Jen Knight helps her run it. 403 00:22:53,920 --> 00:23:00,440 It is, I believe, I'm not sure if it's exact but 3500 square feet. 404 00:23:00,440 --> 00:23:02,600 Four five bedrooms. 405 00:23:02,600 --> 00:23:04,920 Wait, hold on one, two. 406 00:23:04,920 --> 00:23:06,960 That should be a bedroom. 407 00:23:06,960 --> 00:23:07,960 One, two, three. 408 00:23:07,960 --> 00:23:11,680 Yeah, I would do four but yes, it's five bedrooms. 409 00:23:11,680 --> 00:23:18,760 It's two full baths, two half baths and it's just filled to the brim with gorgeous antique 410 00:23:18,760 --> 00:23:20,280 furniture. 411 00:23:20,280 --> 00:23:29,120 I'm going to say that when it comes to recent, we've probably got some really good activity. 412 00:23:29,120 --> 00:23:33,280 They're especially after we have went to bed. 413 00:23:33,280 --> 00:23:39,520 Yeah, the last time Amy and Shannon were there, they left alive going overnight so that 414 00:23:39,520 --> 00:23:47,760 people could turn their phones up also which I love being able to not worry about someone 415 00:23:47,760 --> 00:23:50,280 all of a sudden talking or something. 416 00:23:50,280 --> 00:23:57,080 You can just jack your volume up and listen for noises or taps or whatever might be happening 417 00:23:57,080 --> 00:23:58,080 with spurs. 418 00:23:58,080 --> 00:23:59,080 Anything. 419 00:23:59,080 --> 00:24:01,080 There was so much of that. 420 00:24:01,080 --> 00:24:05,800 Yeah, and it was so funny because some people may not know a rem pod. 421 00:24:05,800 --> 00:24:09,720 It's this device with a antana and it goes off. 422 00:24:09,720 --> 00:24:11,720 You wanr me to grab it. 423 00:24:11,720 --> 00:24:14,560 Sure, people on YouTube can see it. 424 00:24:14,560 --> 00:24:22,120 It goes off if you touch the antenna and so electromagnetic frequency, if it goes around 425 00:24:22,120 --> 00:24:25,320 it, the device will go off. 426 00:24:25,320 --> 00:24:29,640 And they had been there a full day or two and it had never gone off. 427 00:24:29,640 --> 00:24:37,840 And when they set it up and went to bed, it went off for a solid minute, straight and 428 00:24:37,840 --> 00:24:39,840 died immediately. 429 00:24:39,840 --> 00:24:43,640 Shannon, we were actually, I can't find it. 430 00:24:43,640 --> 00:24:46,400 You're going to laugh at me, but I don't know how to get in this backpack. 431 00:24:46,400 --> 00:24:47,400 That's okay. 432 00:24:47,400 --> 00:24:49,840 I don't know how to get in it. 433 00:24:49,840 --> 00:24:51,240 I don't never mess with equipment. 434 00:24:51,240 --> 00:24:52,240 You know that. 435 00:24:52,240 --> 00:25:00,200 Anyways, Shannon got up and he went ahead and replaced the battery and it did go off several 436 00:25:00,200 --> 00:25:01,640 times after that. 437 00:25:01,640 --> 00:25:04,560 The cat balls were able to go off by themselves. 438 00:25:04,560 --> 00:25:09,240 Cat balls was one where they were just back and forth there for what, a couple minutes. 439 00:25:09,240 --> 00:25:10,240 Yeah. 440 00:25:10,240 --> 00:25:14,480 I mean, the activity was insane while we were asleep. 441 00:25:14,480 --> 00:25:15,800 You could hear whispering. 442 00:25:15,800 --> 00:25:20,040 The second night we did it, there wasn't as much we'd put it upstairs in Frank's room 443 00:25:20,040 --> 00:25:23,400 who Maggie Mansion, it gets its name. 444 00:25:23,400 --> 00:25:24,400 It's kind of really cute. 445 00:25:24,400 --> 00:25:25,920 I love this little story. 446 00:25:25,920 --> 00:25:31,680 There, it's been through homes or hands before Maggie, but Maggie Dortch, who was originally 447 00:25:31,680 --> 00:25:38,000 Maggie Reynolds, she was handed down the house and that's where she lived in Gallatin, Tennessee. 448 00:25:38,000 --> 00:25:45,280 She married Frank Dortch in the late or 18. 449 00:25:45,280 --> 00:25:48,320 I can't remember the exact date, but she married him in the light 1800s. 450 00:25:48,320 --> 00:25:50,760 That was the first time I think it was 1870s. 451 00:25:50,760 --> 00:25:56,360 She was the first woman that they believe recorded in Gallatin, Tennessee or maybe in that 452 00:25:56,360 --> 00:25:59,280 area to ever have a prenup. 453 00:25:59,280 --> 00:26:03,000 She had her home, Maggie Mansion added into the prenup. 454 00:26:03,000 --> 00:26:08,240 She had any other kind of business settings that she had through the town added in it and 455 00:26:08,240 --> 00:26:10,840 she was pretty much claiming what she owned. 456 00:26:10,840 --> 00:26:11,840 That was hers. 457 00:26:11,840 --> 00:26:20,720 Frank sadly passed away in 1920 and that caused Maggie to kind of close up all of her dealings, 458 00:26:20,720 --> 00:26:26,840 selling Maggie Mansion and then she headed back to her hometown of Mississippi and passed in 459 00:26:26,840 --> 00:26:28,240 1930. 460 00:26:28,240 --> 00:26:36,400 Now fast forward to all these years, I believe it was maybe 22, 23 when Denise and Jen 461 00:26:36,400 --> 00:26:38,800 started working on this home. 462 00:26:38,800 --> 00:26:43,040 They had a board that was out and they tried to cover it up. 463 00:26:43,040 --> 00:26:44,680 Well everything kept falling. 464 00:26:44,680 --> 00:26:46,280 It wouldn't stay covered. 465 00:26:46,280 --> 00:26:47,520 Anything they did didn't work. 466 00:26:47,520 --> 00:26:49,240 They couldn't do anything. 467 00:26:49,240 --> 00:26:56,020 So when they got to looking at it, it actually says Miss Maggie Dortch and it says Gallatin, 468 00:26:56,020 --> 00:27:01,400 Tennessee and it's right above when you walk in the front door at the top on the porch. 469 00:27:01,400 --> 00:27:06,520 The front of the house looks like you have to look at it Saveing Maggie Mansion on Facebook. 470 00:27:06,520 --> 00:27:10,720 The front of the house just screams I've lived through the Civil War when you walk up with 471 00:27:10,720 --> 00:27:13,640 the big columns and the windows and the long porch. 472 00:27:13,640 --> 00:27:17,840 So just imagine when you first step onto the porch and you're looking at the front door 473 00:27:17,840 --> 00:27:24,760 and you look up, there's this one good sized little piece of wood and it actually comes from 474 00:27:24,760 --> 00:27:28,040 a shipping container and it has Maggie's name and address. 475 00:27:28,040 --> 00:27:34,280 So at that point they took the hint and they decided that it's just going to be called 476 00:27:34,280 --> 00:27:35,640 Maggie Mansion. 477 00:27:35,640 --> 00:27:42,460 The home is also which I found this to be amazing and probably part of what causes it to be so 478 00:27:42,460 --> 00:27:43,460 active. 479 00:27:43,460 --> 00:27:45,220 It's sitting on a bed of quartz. 480 00:27:45,220 --> 00:27:47,760 They found out that by doing some foundation work. 481 00:27:47,760 --> 00:27:48,760 I love that part. 482 00:27:48,760 --> 00:27:49,760 Yes. 483 00:27:49,760 --> 00:27:50,760 It's gorgeous. 484 00:27:50,760 --> 00:27:55,400 Amy's gone to both of these places before they go live or anything. 485 00:27:55,400 --> 00:28:03,480 She's been facetiming me to walk through and I'm just the decor at both of these houses. 486 00:28:03,480 --> 00:28:05,000 Oh my gosh. 487 00:28:05,000 --> 00:28:06,000 The Antiques. 488 00:28:06,000 --> 00:28:07,000 Yes. 489 00:28:07,000 --> 00:28:11,280 And it's not like falling apart antiques. 490 00:28:11,280 --> 00:28:15,680 It's nice right in the time period antiques. 491 00:28:15,680 --> 00:28:20,440 So that's kind of what we've been up to. 492 00:28:20,440 --> 00:28:26,000 I guess the 31st of December so this has been like a week ago or so. 493 00:28:26,000 --> 00:28:29,880 I closed my store, Classic Horror Shop. 494 00:28:29,880 --> 00:28:37,320 It was a good run of six and a half years but truth be told our government can't get their 495 00:28:37,320 --> 00:28:46,880 shit together and these tariff issues are killing small businesses one by one or actually 496 00:28:46,880 --> 00:28:48,680 in groups. 497 00:28:48,680 --> 00:28:50,200 Support small businesses. 498 00:28:50,200 --> 00:28:52,400 Yeah. 499 00:28:52,400 --> 00:28:59,080 I can't keep up with that because the places that I get my products from they have to charge 500 00:28:59,080 --> 00:29:02,480 more because for obvious reasons. 501 00:29:02,480 --> 00:29:06,960 So anyways I just made that decision. 502 00:29:06,960 --> 00:29:09,680 It's just rob Peter to pay Paul. 503 00:29:09,680 --> 00:29:10,680 That's all it is. 504 00:29:10,680 --> 00:29:12,400 Yeah it's just a mess. 505 00:29:12,400 --> 00:29:15,360 Yeah so I closed. 506 00:29:15,360 --> 00:29:20,160 Well how long is it going to be before this episode comes out? 507 00:29:20,160 --> 00:29:21,160 Probably. 508 00:29:21,160 --> 00:29:23,040 Will already be where it might be? 509 00:29:23,040 --> 00:29:24,040 No. 510 00:29:24,040 --> 00:29:25,040 No. 511 00:29:25,040 --> 00:29:26,040 Well almost. 512 00:29:26,040 --> 00:29:27,040 Almost. 513 00:29:27,040 --> 00:29:28,040 No almost. 514 00:29:28,040 --> 00:29:29,040 Yeah. 515 00:29:29,040 --> 00:29:33,440 Almost have a huge surprise for you in three weeks then. 516 00:29:33,440 --> 00:29:35,240 I can't tell you about it just yet. 517 00:29:35,240 --> 00:29:36,240 Yeah. 518 00:29:36,240 --> 00:29:38,240 I mean I can but I'm not going to. 519 00:29:38,240 --> 00:29:39,240 No it's going to be a long time. 520 00:29:39,240 --> 00:29:41,240 We'll have to do another episode on this. 521 00:29:41,240 --> 00:29:42,560 Oh yeah for sure. 522 00:29:42,560 --> 00:29:48,840 But no we've been super busy and for this year like 2026 even at the end of the year I'd 523 00:29:48,840 --> 00:29:54,760 said it to Dawn and Shannon and everybody I really want to concentrate this year on history 524 00:29:54,760 --> 00:29:58,480 and homes and those who spent their time in them. 525 00:29:58,480 --> 00:30:03,280 I don't know how I've got so lucky but so far this year it looks like it's going to be 526 00:30:03,280 --> 00:30:04,880 a lot of homes we've got. 527 00:30:04,880 --> 00:30:08,760 I've got a bus tour in Gallatin Tennessee coming up with the Comer House. 528 00:30:08,760 --> 00:30:10,400 I'll be there. 529 00:30:10,400 --> 00:30:14,400 We've got Maggie Mansion stuff coming up, The Knight House stuff coming up. 530 00:30:14,400 --> 00:30:17,880 I'm getting ready to do a live this week and you don't know about this when it Rose 531 00:30:17,880 --> 00:30:18,880 Mont. 532 00:30:18,880 --> 00:30:21,040 So I'll be back in Gallatin this weekend. 533 00:30:21,040 --> 00:30:22,040 Oh my gosh. 534 00:30:22,040 --> 00:30:23,040 Yeah. 535 00:30:23,040 --> 00:30:25,760 I'll be back in Gallatin this weekend. 536 00:30:25,760 --> 00:30:29,560 Kate called in invited me to go up there and me and Shannon and of course we're going to 537 00:30:29,560 --> 00:30:30,560 go. 538 00:30:30,560 --> 00:30:33,040 So yeah we'll be back at Rose Mont this weekend. 539 00:30:33,040 --> 00:30:38,000 That's another one I need to talk about too because Rose Mont is gorgeous as well but 540 00:30:38,000 --> 00:30:40,200 I don't know how much time we have. 541 00:30:40,200 --> 00:30:41,200 Six minutes. 542 00:30:41,200 --> 00:30:42,200 Okay. 543 00:30:42,200 --> 00:30:44,240 Well Rose Mont is in Gallatin as well. 544 00:30:44,240 --> 00:30:49,480 It's a huge home and it's set up more of a... 545 00:30:49,480 --> 00:30:50,480 What do you call that style? 546 00:30:50,480 --> 00:30:54,960 It wouldn't be Greek Revival from like New Orleans Louisiana would it. 547 00:30:54,960 --> 00:30:58,960 I mean it kind of does have a Greek Revival style but it also has the layout like you would 548 00:30:58,960 --> 00:31:06,080 see more in a really hot area like Louisiana or New Orleans. 549 00:31:06,080 --> 00:31:08,440 It's got where you can breeze way all through
